Update: CMRC National Preparation

For the last three weeks I have been non-stop prepping the upcoming 2013 CMRC Canadian Motocross Nationals. I have been focusing on building my cardiovascular fitness and working on my bike setup. I was really happy with my suspension setup from last season, and I have only made minor changes from that setup. However, I my motor last year was really down on low end power and I wasn’t very happy with my previous power curve. I have been working really hard with Frenchie at C4MX and he has supplied me with a drastically improved motor package for the 2013 season. I leave for Canada in about a week and I have never felt more prepared enter a season than I do right now!

Race Report: Las Vegas Supercross

Las Vegas supercross started off a little rough but turned out to be an alright night. In practice i was having a really hard time with two of the rutted sections, I ended up getting one of them dialed in the main event but the other one haunted me all night.  I qualified 17th out of practice which was good enough to score me a direct transfer into the west coast main event. In the main event I spun off the gate which lead to a poor start, I came around the first lap in 17th. I charged all moto and passed myself into 12th when the checkers flag came out. In the shoot out LCQ I had a hard fought battle with Osborne, but ended up coming 2 seconds short of a transfer spot. I felt like I rode solid all night and put in a pretty good performance. I am excited to turn my focus onto the CMRC Motocross series.

Race Report: Salt Lake City Supercross

Tough track with a short start at high elevation made for a physically demanding track. Got a good start in my heat race, but was t-boned in the second turn and went down. after restarting my bike I charged as hard as i could but only made in back to 11th. In the LCQ I holeshoted and battled with Baker for the first several laps but ended up settling for 2nd, which got me a transfer to the main event. In the main i had the last gate pick which meant a horrible start, I went around the first turn in dead last and spend the whole race working my way forward. When the race was over I had pushed into 14th. Now I’m back to work and focusing on Vegas, I wouldn’t be out there racing without: Experts-Exchange.com, Slaton Racing, Bolts Hardware, C4MX, Team Pernstiener, FMF, Hinson, Dunlop, Works Connection, No-Toil, FLY Racing, Sunstar, Applied, Dirt DNA, Scott, Moto Tassinarri, Leo Vince Carbon, TCR, & Excel.
