Preperation: 2012 Hangtown National
// May 18th, 2012 // No Comments » // Supercross
I have been working on my endurance fitness for the last 3 months and feel like I’m stronger than I have ever been. I am really excited to get up and race my first AMA Outdoor National in 2-years, I am unsure of my plans fallowing Hangtown but at this point I am just looking to ride the best I can this weekend. We have been working on different bike settings all week and have a really good suspension setting thanks to the hard work of Graeme Brough. We had some small bike problems at Las Vegas SX, but since then Chad from Eleven 10 Mods has come up with a new engine package the rips for Motocross. I have added a few sponsors to my team for the Outdoor season that include Transportation Services, Team Pernsteiner, and Scott Sports; but non of this would of been possible without the support of Randy at Experts-Exchange.

I went into the final round of SX feeling confident and honestly was really excited to back up my Salt Lake City finish. Ultimately that did not happen, the free practice went alright I felt fairly comfortable on the track with he exception of the mud. In the first qualifying practice I went out and started to put down a fast lap right away, towards the end of my lap I felt my bike have a slight bog. My bike bogged again after the finish line and at this point I brought it into the mechanics area to have my mechanic look at it, at this point the bike died and I could not restart it.
We spent the next 4 hours changing out every part available to us, but were unable to fix the bike. It ended up being a piston issue that we did not have the parts to fix at the track. So even though I qualified into the main event with a single fast lap, I was unable to race the Supercross finally.
I am now turning all my focus to the AMA Outdoor Motocross Championship, and I will be at the gate in Hangtown in a week.
Race Report: Seattle & Salt Lake SX

Sorry guys I have not been keeping up on the website as much as I should be, this last month has been re4ally busy for me I have been training really hard and between testing motors and getting ready for outdoors my days have been crazy.
The break was exactly what I needed I finally got my bike fine turned and working exactly the way I want, and also I have had the time to adjust to my new fitness program which has brought my body to a whole new level. I felt awesome in Seattle and even though my main event finish was nothing amazing I felt like it should of been, A couple of falls in the main dropped my results back to a 15th. Seattle was my first time riding with the new Eleven-1o Mods motor so it was kind of a learning experience for me, but this race definitely showed me the potential was there.
I came into Salt Lake City know that I had all the ingredients to put in a solid finish I just had to find a way to put it all together. Practice was a little rough on me till late in the third practice when I finally nailed a triple-triple-triple section which put my 12th in total qualifying times. I was in heat #1 and came out of the gate around 9th, I was able to make passes throughout the race and finished in 6th. In the main I choose the very inside gate and exited the first turn around 12th, there was some carnage up front and I made a pass and found myself in 1oth most of the race. Late in the race I was able to make a final pass, and Wilson dropped out of the race which gave me 8th place in the main event.
